According to influencer Callum Ryan,London boasts one of the most expensive toilets in the UK. Intruiged, he decided to check it out to see if it was worth the money.
Sometimes when you nature calls, you have to do what you have to do. Hopefully, when you need to go to the toilet when you're out and about you'll be able to find a free toilet somewhere, such as in a café or in a shop. But that's not always the case.
While some public toilets are free, others charge you. According to the online content creator, the "most expensive place to go to the toilet in the UK" is 2theloo in Covent Garden.
Filming himself entering the 'toilet store' on TikTok, Callum showed how he was asked to pay £1.50 before entering the toilet - and once inside he was very impressed.

Callum explained that the toilets were all clean, were stocked with plenty of toilet roll, and each cubicle also has a hook for your jacket or bag. He added: "To be honest, it's not bad, but I should hope so with the amount I paid. It's clean. And that's the main thing. It's not dirty."
As an added bonus, Callum spotted one thing he was surprirsed by - a heater, which was "quite a nice touch".
There are also plenty of things for sale in the toilet - from sanitary towels to drinks. Each wooden cubicle is also decorated.
British Toilet Association boss Raymond Boyd Martin told The Sun in 2022: "The Covent Garden toilet is the most expensive loo in Britain.
"A lot of people will only pay £1 [at the time] begrudgingly, but this is what it costs for a good hygienic loo."

In the comment section of the TikTok, many were shocked at the price, with one person saying: "Shouldn't have to pay to go to the toilet." Another wrote: "What the flip flop, that's so expensive." "I refused to pay and walked away," said another.
However, others said they would pay the money if it meant they could go to a clean toilet. One person said: "I'd pay that if they are clean!! I avoid public toilets as there usually so dirty." Another added: "Definitely worth it for a clean toilet." A third added: "I'd be more than willing to pay for for this service if it means the toilets will be spotlessly clean."

According to Covent Garden's website, the toilets are 'award-winning". When 2theloo first opened up their Covent Garden location, they said: "It's our mission to make the absolute most of your toilet break."
They continue: "Our restrooms are cleaned after every use, designed, spacious, soundproof and non-touch. Our restroom concept is 'together we are working on one amazing concept that is changing the way the world looks at public toilets'."
2theloo opened the first ever 'toilet store' in Amsterdan in 2012, and they now have over 175 locations across the world.
