Hangyodon
Hangyodon is one of the many characters you meet on the plane while flying to Big Adventures Park. An aspiring comedian, you can find him on Rainbow Reef tidying up and practicing for his next open-mic comedy night.
Where to Find Hangyodon
Unlike Hello Kitty and some of the other island residents, you won't be able to find and talk to Hangyodon immediately after landing on the island. You'll need to not only reach his area on the map but also find a way to reach him underwater. Hangyodon likes gifts that are tagged with Aquatic, Fish and Fabric. The best starter gift for Hangyodon is any Fish, but you can get him a two-heart gift early on by finding the Aquatic Material crafting plans in a treasure chest above the Sunken Ship. You can craft Aquatic Material at any workbench using this following ingredients:
- x2 Fabric
- x2 Feather
- x2 Shell
You can craft Fabric using crafting plans unlocked by reaching Friendship Level 3 with Tuxedosam using x3 Thread. Feathers are rewarded for gifting Pekkle every day, and the amount you receive will increase depending on the tier of gift you give him.
Hangyodon's three-heart gift is Mermaid Figure, which can only be made after the unlocking the crafting plans after reaching Friendship Level 13 with My Melody. The Mermaid Figure can be crafted at any workbench using:
- x2 Fabric
- x3 Coconut
- x5 Shell
All characters have 3 gift tags that indicate the type of gifts they like to receive. Items can have several tags assigned to them but when gifting an item to a character, at least one of the item tags must match a tag that is liked by the character. Gifts also have a certain value which ranges from 1 heart to 3 hearts.
Gifting items that are a higher heart value and match multiple tags at once that are liked by a character will help increase your friendship with them. You'll be limited to gifting 3 items per day but you can either gift a Friendship Bouquet to reset the daily gift limit for all island residents or gift a Friendship Blossom to reset the limit for an individual character.

Increasing your friendship level with island residents is not only important to progress through the game's story but doing so will also unlock different items, tools and quests. Below is a list of rewards earned as you level up your friendship with Hangyodon.

Hangyodon Quests
As your friendship grows with a character, you'll unlock various quests when you reach a certain level. Completing these quests usually involves helping them complete a task and can earn you rewards like special items, outfits, crafting plans, and even unlock additional island residents who weren't on the plane at the beginning of the game.
