The Scene Saw the Rangers Go Undercover
After learning that Lord Zedd's forces are looking for the Cosmic Dragon Zord on the planet Akraal, the Rangers go undercover as an alien rock band to distract the villains from the excavation. Power Rangers has always been a kid-friendly action series, with the Rangers rarely ever getting seriously harmed in battle. (with the death of Pink Ranger Kendrix in Power Rangers Lost Galaxy being the only exception),Cosmic Fury took a big risk with its first episode, showing Black Ranger Javi losing his arm.

While the Rangers are trying to dodge the incoming blasts, Javi takes the opportunity to place the Morphin' Master Staff into the ancient alter, which creates a power surge so strong that Javi loses his arm. It's a pretty intense scene, with consequences that heavily alter Javi's character arc for the rest of the series.

Fans Loved Seeing the Zords From Kyuranger
With Power Rangers being adapted from the Japanese toksatsu series, Super Sentai, many fans were hopeful that the space-themed series, Uchū Sentai Kyuranger, would be adapted into Power Rangers. When Cosmic Fury was announced, many were hopeful this would be the adaptation they were waiting for. While Cosmic Fury decided to feature American-exclusive Ranger suits, they still used the Zords and Zord footage from Kyuranger.

Every Power Rangers team has an arsenal of megazords that make them even stronger. But which ones are the strongest of all?
It was pretty cool to see the Kyuranger mecha on-screen in Cosmic Fury's first episode. It was certainly jarring for Super Sentai fans to see the Megazord piloted by the Dino Fury and Mighty Morphin' Blue Ranger suits, but this blend of suits and Zords from different Sentai series felt like Season Two of Mighty Morphin, which kept the suits from Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger while using the Zords from Gosei Sentai Dairanger.

While the American-exclusive suits for Cosmic Fury saw a mixed reception from fans, it was still really great to see a Power Rangers team made up completely of original suits. The fourth episode of Cosmic Fury featured the suits' first action scene, as the Rangers take on the evil Ollie and his army of Zentinals. The fight scene also featured the first appearance of Ollie's evil Blue Ranger form, which is certainly the best-looking suit in Cosmic Fury.

The fight scene is rather epic, with the Rangers using their new suits and powers to save Mick, a returning character from Power Rangers Ninja Steel. The fight scene also features some great interaction between Red Ranger Amelia and Ollie, who had become a couple before Ollie was turned evil. This created a great dynamic between the two, with Amelia focusing all her energy on defeating her boyfriend while her comrades take care of the footsoldiers.
6 Ninja Steel's Mick Got to Pilot the Cosmic Fury Megazord
Fans Loved Mick's Reappearance in the Final Season
While the Megazord battles in Power Rangers tend to be rather repetitive, Cosmic Fury's use of the Kyuranger footage allowed for some differentiation in who got to pilot the Zords. Kyuranger's large number of Rangers allowed for some variation on who got to pilot each of the Zords in Cosmic Fury. Cosmic Fury's fourth episode featured Ninja Steel's Mick piloting the Megazord, in a rare occurrence in which two Red Rangers pilot the same Megazord.

While Ninja Steel is a rather unpopular entry in Power Rangers, Mick was certainly a fan-favorite, being played by Kelson Henderson. Henderson first appeared as Boom in Power Ranger S.P.D., who briefly appeared as an Orange Ranger in a dream sequence. It was pretty cool seeing Henderson finally as an official Ranger in Ninja Steel, with Cosmic Fury properly cementing him as a figure of Ranger legacy.

Power Rangers Dino Charge was a pretty big series featuring a Ranger team made up of ten Rangers. However, the Super Sentai series Dino Charge was based on Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger, which featured another Ranger that didn't make it into Dino Charge. The Dark Ranger, also known as Heckyll, was first canonized as a Ranger in the BOOM! Studios Power Rangers comics, but Cosmic Fury marked the first live-action appearance of the Dark Ranger suit.

4 Fern Was the Franchise's First Official Orange Ranger
Ferns First Fight Scene Felt Historic
While Orange Rangers have appeared many times in the recent entries of Super Sentai, they were almost non-existent in Power Rangers. One aspect of Cosmic Fury that made it a great final season was the incorporation of previous Rangers. "Operation Seasoning," the seventh episode of the series, was certainly a highlight, and much of that can be credited to the epic fight sequence. The fight featured a great lineup, including Fern as the Orange Ranger, and the return of Tarrick, the villain of Power Rangers Dino Fury, now fighting alongside the Rangers, unmorphed. The fight felt very large in scale, with some of the Rangers taking the fight to the Megazord while Billy, Heckyll and Tarrick kept the ground-level fight going. 2 Cosmic Fury's First Scene Was a Stellar Opening
The Series Made It Clear That This Season Would Be Bigger and Better
Being the final season, Cosmic Fury had a lot of expectations to live up to. However, the series made a strong opening with its first fight scene, with the first episode opening with a large battle scene. With the shorter episode count of ten episodes, Cosmic Fury got to use its budget to create some pretty dynamic action sequences, and the first fight scene is a great example.

With Cosmic Fury being the last season of this iteration of Power Rangers, the season finale had a lot to live up to. The final battle, in particular, had to be epic, as it would be the final battle of the series. While the fight didn't include as many previous Rangers as fans would have hoped for in a series finale, Cosmic Fury did a surprisingly good job at emphasizing the scope of the war.

It was amazing to see the Cosmic Fury Rangers saved by five Megazords from past seasons, including the Megazord from Mighty Morphin, the Astro Megazord from Power Rangers In Space, the Galaxy Megazord from Lost Galaxy, the Ninja Blaze Megazord from Ninja Steel, and the Beast X Megazord from Power Rangers Beast Morphers. It was also really great to see the Mighty Morphin' Megazord being piloted by Billy alongside the Mighty Morphin' Yellow Ranger, though it is debated whether this was meant to be Trini, or her daughter, Minh, who took on the mantle in the Once and Always special.
